Progress after DAY ONE!
Round two of Impact Projects and I am feeling way more enthusiastic this time!Today I made good progress and filled in my proposal document. I have decided that for this project I want to create a book celebrating awesome people in the Gisborne community. I want to learn about interesting people who have achieved great things and take photos of them that represent who they are as people. I then want to interview the people and write up my findings. In the end I want to create a book with the photos of interviews. I want to donate my book to the school library and I want to print a few extra copies to sell to people. I still haven't decided who I would sell to so I know I still have a bit of work to do with that. I am excited about my idea because I think it will be a really cool way to celebrate some inspiring people.
Today, as well as finishing my proposal, I learnt about some photography hacks from a video Mrs King showed us. The one I liked the most was putting vaseline on the lense to create a foggy effect around the subject - it looked really effective. This is the video
There were a couple of things I found hard today including filling in some of the paperwork for my proposal - I am not really sure who my stakeholders are yet as I haven't decided who I want to interview or sell my book to. I also don't know how much it will all cost so I have to do a bit of research for the budgeting section.
Next time I want to create a list of Gisborne people to interview and I want to learn more about photography skills. I want to practice some techniques on people in my class as my subject matter will be people.
I am feeling happy about how my day went.
